Kitty Trouble
My kitty has swallowed a needle. He was throwing up all of yesterday, so I took him in today. They're doing surgery. I was sitting there, being ignorant, reading "The Hobbit" to him while we cuddled instead of taking him to the emergency vet.
I am an awful, awful mommy.
Edit: Baby is coming home tonight. Surgery went well. Doctor said I got him in really fast, which bodes very well.

I'm quite sure that when I've got my own place, I'll have the willpower of a politician in an office of co-eds when it comes to stray animals.
Ergh. I've only heard about the excitement of the dip, but it doesn't sound pleasant on either end.

I love your way with words. *G*
Yes, the dip is an adventure. And joy, next week I get to do it again to make sure all the nasty buggums are dead. But it's better than having a bunch of itchy, crusty, miserable cats.

Give them all a pat and a "good kitty" from me when they've made it through.

He is currently a mewling, drugged, painful cutey. And I'm going to be $750 - 1000 poorer. But his surgery went well, and the needle is in a plastic bag (my mother insisted that I keep it as a trophy -- the one thousand dollar needle), so hopefully he'll be causing trouble again ASAP.
